Halalan 2022 (Part 1 – Calendar of Activities)

Philippine independence is not merely won by previous generations. It should also be maintained and developed by the present generation through successful and meaningful elections.

The COMELEC, through Resolution No. 10695, has prescribed the following calendar of activities in connection with the 2022 national and local elections.

Filing of Certificate of Candidacy for all Elective Positions   Filing of List of Nominees, Certificate of Nomination, and Certificate of Acceptance of Nomination and Affidavit of Existing Party-List Groups, Coalitions, and Organizations  1 October 2021 to 8 October 2021
Start of posting of the Tentative List of Candidates at the COMELEC Website  29 October 2021
Last day for the Substitute of an Official Candidate of a political party or coalition  who withdrew, died, or was disqualified by final judgment, to file a Certificate of Candidacy  in order to reflect the name of the substitute on the official ballot  15 November 2021
Election Period  9 January 2022 to 8 June 2022
Election Day9 May 2022
